There is a new version of this that compiles fine with the existing
ebuilds. But the build system for this package has a whitelist of
compilers that makes it hard to get it to respect $CC. Fortunately,
there's a hack in the makefile to allow the package to build with
Travis CI, and we can hijack it to force our compiler of choice to be
used.
The version 6 ebuilds have been removed, since they were never
stabilized.

This new revision updates the EAPI, and drops src_install. Everything
seems to work identically to the previous revision, so the einstall
from that revision (and bug 521588) was superfluous.

Now that the latest revision uses EAPI=6, the eutils eclass (no longer
needed) has been dropped. The autotools eclass looked like it could go
too, but the eautoreconf is actually present to fix a QA warning (not
because we patch e.g. configure.ac) so I added a comment to that
effect.
To make PATCHES work, I revisioned the two patches to be -p1
compatible. The src_prepare and src_install phases now take advantage
of "default" and are a tiny bit simpler.

The original purpose of this new revision was to fix the use of
einstall reported in bug 521564. However, einstall proved necessary,
so along with the update to EAPI=6 -- where einstall is banned -- I
inlined its behavior.
The multilib and eutils eclasses, now unused, were dropped. The latest
debian patchset was also included.

It's a new file that didn't match their previous naming scheme. Without it,
running ghe-backup/restore fails:
